About The Project

We were invited by i4architecture to join their consulting team for this new LEED Silver certified facility located on the campus of Lakehead University.  As one of the leading research universities in Canada, this new 45,000 square foot building houses seven leading research programs and public spaces that showcases the extraordinary research taking place within the building. The design provides students and faculty with an environment that promotes interaction, collaboration and entrepreneurial development. Working in collaboration with i4architecture, the interior was designed to strictly adhere to LEED principles, with concepts influenced by both scientific and biophilic forms. Interior finishes were selected based upon their recycled content, energy efficiency and low volatile organic compounds.
