About The Project

Uninspired by their space, our client reached out to us for help to re-design her sunken living room into a sophisticated Mid-Century Modern abode. The space was north facing, cavernous and the existing finishes lackluster. Inspired by a much loved, classic era, we completely overhauled the space, only keeping the existing hardwood floors. We lightened the walls and added translucent window coverings to brighten the entire room. The design concept included new paint finishes, decorative lighting, a feature wall, custom natural walnut shelving, a custom media stand and an electric widescreen fireplace. Two iconic chairs in a bold colour were selected for their sculptural quality. A classic, tufted sectional provided ample space to relax comfortably by the fire. A commissioned piece by Canadian abstract artist Matt LeBlanc is featured above the fireplace.
